Two men wounded in Central District shooting

SEATTLE -- A Monday evening shooting in Seattle's Central District left two men with serious injuries, and police are now scouring the area for the shooter.

Police were first called about a shooting in the 400 block of Martin Luther King Jr. Way sometime before 7 p.m. When they arrived, they found two men with gunshot wounds, according to police.

One man, who is believed to be in his 20s, was shot multiple times. Another man, who is roughly 30-years old, was also shot. Police say one of the men was shot in the scapula, and the other was shot in the buttocks

Both men were rushed to Harborview Medical Center in serious condition, according to the Seattle Fire Department.

The shooter remains at large. Police do not believe the shooting was random, and detectives from the Seattle Police Department's Gang Unit are investigating.
