The smelly cargo spilled into the road when a rendering truck was forced to make a quick stop for slow moving traffic, according to Washington State Patrol Trooper Guy Gill.
The driver avoided the wreck, but the animal parts spilled over the side.
Traffic was rerouted around two northbound lanes while a front loader was called in to clean up the mess.
"I know this doesn't look good but trust me, it smells even worse!" Gill said in a tweet.
The truck driver will be cited for failure to secure his load, according to Gill.
