The drama began just after 11:30 p.m. Thursday when state troopers spotted a 2000 Lexus weaving back and forth across the lanes of southbound Interstate 5 near Smokey Point.
Officers quickly determined that the car was stolen and attempted to pull it over. At that point the driver of the stolen Lexus took off at high speed.
The car exited at the Boeing Freeway, then headed back north on I-5 at speeds of up to 105 mph, exiting again in the area of the Tulalip Casino then speeding through neighborhoods on surface streets.
Along the way troopers tried to stop the stolen Lexus with spike strips and a pivoting maneuver, but both attempts failed.
The stolen vehicle got on Highway 529 and sped through a construction zone, knocking over barrels, then headed into Everett. The Lexus came to an abrupt stop in the 900 block of Maple Street in Everett and at least two suspects bailed out of the car.
Police dogs were brought in to conduct a search. Officers took one person into custody, and they are looking for at least one other person.
