Semi rollover snarls traffic on I-90

SEATTLE -- A semi truck hauling hay crashed and rolled over on Interstate 90 early Tuesday, blocking all westbound lanes near the interchange with Interstate 5.

State troopers said the driver was not seriously injured, but it would take some time to clear the crashed truck.

Drivers on the express lanes were able to get around the scene, but all other cars were diverted at Rainier Avenue for about 2 hours.

Officials said the truck collided with a Corvette before tipping over, but the exact circumstances remain under investigation and it was not clear which driver may be at fault.

Tow trucks were able to get the semi truck back on its wheels and the westbound lanes were re-opened to traffic just before 7 a.m.
