Robber fires shot during bank hold-up in South Seattle

SEATTLE - Police are looking for a robber who fired a shot during a bank hold-up Wednesday afternoon in South Seattle, then fled.

No one was hit by the gunfire.

Officers responded to the scene, a branch of Washington Federal Credit Union in the 9300 block of Rainier Avenue South, after receiving a report of an armed robbery.

Nearby schools are sheltering students in place while police look for the suspect. He's described as a man in his 30s wearing a curly wig and sunglasses and a brown rain coat.
