Renton woman wakes up and finds strange man next to her

RENTON, Wash. -- A Renton woman told police she awoke early last Wednesday morning to find a strange man sitting next to her on her couch.

Police say a man climbed through a ground level window at a condo in the 4300 block of Sunset Boulevard sometime early last Wednesday morning.

The young woman who lives in the condo had fallen asleep on her couch, and police say she woke up at about 4 a.m. and saw the man next to her on the couch.

Police say the man, who's thought to be 22- to 25-years old, ran away when the woman woke up.

The woman described the burglar as a "grungy" white man with olive skin who stands roughly 5'7" tall. He has a medium build with brown, curly hair that was matted down. She said he has fuzzy eyebrows and "smallish" black eyes.

At the time of the break-in he had a goatee, was wearing a navy blue zip-up hoodie with a brown hood and dark blue jeans.

Anyone with information about the crime is asked to call the police.
