Port Angeles teen goes to the wall to save his dog
By Ian Sterling
This is the story of a boy and his dog. 15-year-old Kyle Sholinder is the boy. A German Sheppard mix named Max is the dog. The problem, 5-year-old Max has the equivalent of a slipped disc in his spine. A condition called Wobbler's disease that could eventually paralyze him.
The surgery to fix Max costs $7,000-- an expense Kyle's parents simply can't afford in this economy.
The Port Angeles boy says he despaired until he came up with an idea -- a benefit concert and Facebook campaign to save his dog. Hear more from Ian Sterling
