Police: Man takes stab at sandwich artist, is arrested
SEATTLE -- A knife-wielding man brazenly attacked a restaurant employee Thursday morning despite at least one KOMO crime reporter being literally an elevator ride away, according to the Seattle Police Department.
According to police, a man walked into the Subway at Fisher Plaza four floors below KOMO headquarters shortly before 9 a.m. and started throwing things around.
When a Subway employee told the man to knock it off, the man upped his game and started destroying food, according to police.
But, it was when the employee finally called for security the man reportedly took out a knife and took a stab at the employee, hitting him with the knife but not cutting him.
The employee punched the man and ran outside to wait for security.
Officers eventually showed up and arrested the man, who apparently did something similar at a nearby McDonald's earlier in the day. According to police, he also talked about killing people while in custody.
