Police: Fatal hit and run driver returned to scene by mother

SEATTLE - A woman was killed Saturday morning in a two car roll-over crash near 23rd Avenue South and South King Street.

Emergency crews responded around 4:00 a.m. to find a roll-over crash that left one woman in critical condition, and other with life-threatening injuries.

One passenger died en route to the hospital, and the current condition of the other woman is unclear.

The 29-year-old driver fled the scene, but was returned to the scene by her mother after calling home. The other passengers in the car are believed to have also fled, and remain unknown, according to police.

Police booked the 29-year-old driver into King County Jail for investigation of vehicular homicide, and hit and run.

Investigators are working to figure out the details behind the crash.
