Overturned dump truck creates mess on I-5

EVERETT, Wash. -- Drivers trying to get north into Everett Friday morning had quite the mess to contend with after a dump truck overturned on I-5.

The crash happened just before 11 a.m., blocking two northbound lanes just south of 128th Street SW in South Everett.

Midday traffic was fairly light overall but the backup still stretched more than two miles in the minutes after the crash. Troopers say there was spilled debris around the crash site.

There are no reports of any injuries, and the Washington State Patrol are still looking into what caused the crash.
