Open and Shut: This week's restaurant round-up

November has been a wild month for restaurant openings -- however, not a lot of them are happening this particular weekend. But! That doesn't mean there aren't a few new spots to check out, if only for a taste of some locally-made whiskey.

  • Finally! After weeks of waiting, Roux is open for business. In the location that used to house the Buckaroo Tavern (RIP), this red-hot creole spot is brought to you by the man behind one of Seattle's foremost food trucks, Where Ya At Matt.

  • Woodinville's got a new craft liquor distiller, and they've invited you to come have a taste. Stop by JP Trodden between 1pm and 4pm on Saturday for free (yes!) samples of the goods. You can also pick up a bottle for gifting during the rest of the week.

  • Seattle Met reports that Eureka!, a chain burger restaurant, opens in the U. Village on Monday. Expect burger, beers -- and whiskey!

  • Due to violations found by King County public health officials, the mobile food truck Taqueria La Perlita is closed for an indeterminate amount of time.
