The charges were filed Thursday in Everett against 27-year-old Erick N. Walker of Marysville.
Snohomish County prosecutors say Walker "exhibited extreme indifference to human life" the night of June 1 when he opened fire on a group of girls, killing Molly Conley, as she was celebrating her birthday with friends.
Walker is also accused of firing bullets into four homes in Marysville and Lake Stevens.
He was identified by police when paint from his vehicle matched paint found on another vehicle that had been struck during the series of drive-by shootings, according to court documents.
Guns found in his home also matched ballistic evidence at the scene, police said.
The Boeing worker was arrested June 28 and denied any involvement. He was initially charged in District Court and was arraigned Friday in Superior Court on the new charges.
He is being held in Snohomish County Jail on $5 million bail.
