Nine people injured in Kent after church van, car collide

KENT, Wash.-- Nine people are reported injured, including one seriously, after a crash involving a sedan and van from a Kent-area church.

The accident was reported about 5:40 p.m. at S. 277th St. and Starlake Road, Captain Kyle Ohashi of the Kent Fire Dept. said.

Seven people from the van, including a child, were taken to a local hospital, he said.

Two people in the car were transported to the hospital; one of them had serious injuries.

S. 277th Street was closed for several hours while the King County Sheriff's Office investigated.
