Murder warrant issued in fatal Renton shooting

RENTON, Wash. -- Police believe they know who shot and killed a 20-year-old woman last week in a Renton park.

An arrest warrant has been issued for 31-year-old Jerome Linzy Hopkins for the {A href=""}killing of Lonnie Reynolds, who police say was an innocent bystander caught in the crossfire of a gun battle last week at Liberty Park.

Reynolds had just moved back to Renton after spending several months in Houston for a job. She had been home for a week when she came to the park with friends on the evening of May 22.

Two women Reynolds wasn't associated with got into a fist fight at the park, and soon two of their male friends pulled out guns and started shooting, according to police. Reynolds was caught in the crossfire and was shot once in the abdomen.

Hopkins stands 6-feet tall and weighs 305 pounds. Police say he is also known to go by the name "CJ."

Hopkins is associated with a dark colored 2002 BMW 745 4-door with Washington license plate number AIT0364. He may also have access to a red 2005 Suzuki GSX R60 with Washington license plate number 972478.

Police say Hopkins should be considered armed and dangerous.
