Man receives annual gunshot wound in Lake City

SEATTLE -- For the second time in two years, a man found himself whisked to the hospital after being shot in Lake City, according to the Seattle Police Department.

Gang detectives caught up with the victim at Harborview Medical Center. He told them he was walking by Little Brook Park near Northeast 140th Street and 32nd Avenue Northeast around 11:15 p.m. Thursday when someone in a car shot him in the buttocks.

It was the second time in two years the victim was shot in Lake City, according to police.

He told officers he has no idea why anyone would want to shoot him, as he is currently working, going to school and trying to put his troubled past behind him.
