Man found injured along Renton road dies

RENTON, Wash. -- A man found unconscious and bleeding along a road in east Renton early Tuesday has died.

Doctors say 54-year-old Oscar Stevens passed away Friday morning at Seattle's Harborview Medical Center. An autopsy was scheduled for later in the day.

Detective Robert Onishi said a passerby spotted Stevens just before 6 a.m. Tuesday on the side of the road near the intersection of Hoquiam Ave NE and NE Sunset Blvd.

Medics rushed the man to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle. It was not clear how long the man had been on the ground before police were notified.

"We have not found anyone who actually witnessed the collision," Onishi said.

Onishi urged anyone with information to call Renton Police at 425-430-7500.
