Police say the driver, who has not been identified, hit a man who was walking across Highway 99 in Lynnwood just after 10:30 p.m. last Thursday. Instead of stopping, the man turned around and drove away heading northbound, according to police.

Using leads from several community members, police were able to track down the vehicle from the crash at a south Lynnwood residence on Saturday. Police say the car, which is registered to the suspect, had obvious signs of damage.

Police arrested the suspect Monday in Shoreline. The man, who police say has a "significant criminal history," will be booked into Snohomish County jail Monday evening for felony hit-and-run resulting in a fatality.
