In other Macklemore news, he is not pleased that the OKC Thunder are using his music
Confirmed Sonics supporter Macklemore is not happy to hear that the Oklahoma City Thunder are using his hit single, "Can't Hold Us," during their games.
When a fan tweeted to the Seattle rapper this morning to let him know, Macklemore responded pretty simply:
"OH HELL NO," his retweet of the original message read.
Mack's anger isn't because his music is being used -- the Mariners have several of his songs on rotation, including a special version of "Can't Hold Us" that plays when the team takes the field -- but rather, that it's being used by the Thunder, the team which was formerly the Sonics, but were relocated to Oklahoma City in a controversial sale in 2008.
Macklemore has been a vocal supporter of the effort to bring professional men's basketball back to the area, including making appearances at rallies and assisting Mayor Mike McGinn in the effort to drum up publicity.
Rumors of a new deal to bring the Sonics back to Seattle have been swirling since yesterday, but no conclusive infomation is available yet.
