Human remains found in Seattle campsite

SEATTLE -- Police say human remains were found Thursday morning in an overgrown campsite in east Queen Anne.

A group of Seattle Parks workers were clearing brush from the site, located in the 600 block of Galer Street, just before noon when one of the workers noticed what appeared to be human bones.

Homicide and CSI detectives, along with King County Medical Examiner personnel, arrived on scene moments later. Police believe the remains have been in the park for a "significant period of time."

They processed the scene and will continue to investigate the case.
