      Fire destroys Tacoma home

TACOMA, Wash. -- Investigators are trying to determine what started a fire that destroyed a home in Tacoma overnight.

Crews were called to the home in the 3700 block of North 24th Street about 3 a.m. and found flames and smoke throughout the second floor.

Deputy Chief Faith Mueller said the home is a total loss but it appears no one was inside when the fire started.
