Federal Way man, 18, killed in crash on Hwy. 167 in Auburn

AUBURN, Wash. -- An 18-year-old Federal Way man was killed early Saturday when he lost control of his car and crashed on Highway 167, according to the Washington State Patrol.

Officials said the driver, Pavlo Myronets, may have racing other cars when the crash happened just before 5 a.m. in the northbound lanes of the highway near 277th Street.

Officials said the Myronets' Scion TC hit a guardrail and rolled over, ejecting the driver from the car. He was wearing a seatbelt.

Myronets was taken to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle where he died.

Troopers are trying to reach people who may have witnessed the crash and asked anyone with information to contact the State Patrol.
