State troopers responded at about 6:25 p.m. after receiving reports of a man driving erratically in the northbound lanes of I-5 between Everett and Marysville.
Authorities then received a report that the same man had crashed into a barrier dividing northbound and southbound traffic.
When they arrived at the scene, troopers found that the suspect's car was stuck on top of the barrier and had pushed part of the barrier into the southbound lanes. Debris from the crash had also struck other vehicles driving by.
The suspect then got out of his vehicle and began walking through traffic, threatening people with a large stick.
As troopers approached, the man was combative and struggled with troopers as they attempted to subdue him. One of the troopers sustained minor injuries during the scuffle.
The suspect was eventually stunned with a Taser and found to be under the influence of drugs. He was taken to a local hospital for treatment.
