DUI suspected in SR-18 crash that left 2 hurt

FEDERAL WAY, Wash. -- Two people were hurt in a rollover crash on SR-18 early Monday morning.

Troopers say the man and woman were driving east on SR-18 just after midnight when the driver lost control near Weyerhaeuser Way, struck a guardrail and rolled over, coming to rest on the adjacent lane.

Both the 44-year-old male driver and the 42-year-old female passenger were taken to Harborview Medical Center but their conditions are not known.

The roadway was blocked for about 2 1/2 hours for the clean up and investigation.

The crash report from the Washington State Patrol states that alcohol and/or drugs were a factor in the crash, but troopers did not give any further details.
