LYNNWOOD, Wash. -- Police are looking for whoever is responsible for robbing two pharmacies less than a mile apart on Highway 99 this week.
According to the Edmonds Police Department, a man walked into the Rite Aid at 22515 Highway 99 around 7:25 p.m. Feb. 27, grabbed a customer and demanded narcotics from pharmacist employees, saying, "I don't want to hurt this guy."
The man ran off with the drugs, and a K-9 track was unsuccessful, according to police.
Around 8 a.m. March 1, a man entered the Walgreen's Pharmacy in the 20700 block of Highway 99 and demanded medication, which he was able to escape with, according to the Lynnwood Police Department.
Though the description of the suspect is roughly similar in both robberies, surveillance footage is inconclusive. And, police have not said whether or not they think the same person is responsible for both robberies.
