Dick's to celebrate 60th birthday with Broadway block party

In July, Macklemore shut down Broadway to film part of a music video on the roof of Dick's Burgers. This weekend, Dick's is doing it all over again, in celebration of the bargain burger joint's 60th birthday -- only this time, there will be actual live music and a beer garden.

The anniversary party, which will shut down Broadway Street between Denny and John from noon until 10pm on Sunday, will include performances from local artists like motopony and Don't Talk to the Cops, as well as others that have yet to be announced. Kindie-rock band Recess Monkey will also be performing at the all-ages event.

There will also be a beer garden, with $5 beers from area brewers like Elysian and Hilliards.

Dick's has been celebrating its 60th anniversary all year, with events like a burger-eating contest and a contest to find the iconic drive-in's biggest fan.

The event is free to attend.
