City looks to install single-space, credit card capable parking meters
OLYMPIA - The city wants to upgrade its electronic parking meter system and it's seeking proposals for the project.
Officials are looking to purchase between 320-330 single-space electronic parking meters with credit card capability to replace the existing 50 multi-space pay stations located downtown.
The city's request for proposals includes the purchase price of the meters, training, establishing secure, encrypted credit card communications with the city, as well as maintenance of each parking meter.
The city says it wants to make things easier on visitors by providing convenient, reliable, credit card meters that are secure and easy to use.
All proposals for the project must be turned in by Mach 28 at 5:00p.m. The proposal forms can be found online.
