Cafe Parco combines Bacon, Bananas and Waffles for a tasty brunch treat

At first I was worried the decor was a little too formal and even a bit stuffy for our jeans and t-shirts. But the staff quickly put us at ease with a smile and a genuine welcome.

My husband's Eggs e Mela Salsiccia (2 Eggs, Leschi pork & apple links, hash browns, toast with spiced butter) and fresh squeezed orange juice were simple, but tasty.

I was a bit more adventurous and I ordered the Bacon and Banana Waffles.

"Just so you know, that's incredible rich," warned our waiter.

"No worries, I'm prepared," I replied with a grin.

And I thought I was prepared.

The bacon was crispy and thick. The bananas fresh and fragrant. The burned carmel and syrup mixed perfectly with the butter. But the best surprise of all was the bacon pieces baked right into the waffle batter itself.

Despite my hearty appetite and the warning, I was still unable to finish the entire dish. Yet I will say I gave it the old college try,

This isn't a formal review, but we both agreed we'll be back and soon.

By the time we left the place was crowded, but not too crowded.

Unlike some other hot brunch spots there was no hour-wait.

So fresh, hot, unique, wonderful service, and no wait wins the day for us.

Drop by and say hi and be sure to at least consider the Bacon Banana Waffles!
