Bystander wounded in early morning shooting in Everett

EVERETT, Wash. -- A man was injured, and another is under arrest following a shooting in Everett Sunday morning.

Police say it started as an argument in front of a bar on Hewitt Avenue around 2 a.m. The victim is thought to be a bystander who just happened to be passing when the gunman fired the weapon.

The victim was taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries. Police arrested the suspected shooter a block away from the scene.

He has been booked into jail for investigation of assault.
