Boyfriend of Renton shooting victim questioned by police

RENTON, Wash. - A 21-year-old woman has been hospitalized following a shooting in the 2200 block of NE 10th Pl, Tuesday night.

Police are searching for the shooter after a man dialed 911 to report his girlfriend had been shot at a Renton Highlands apartment.

Emergency crews arrived on scene to find a woman with at least one gunshot wound and transported her to Harborview Medical Center. A Police K9 searched the area, but did not find anyone matching the victim's boyfriend's description of the shooter.

Detectives are interviewing the victim's boyfriend. The 18-year-old Renton man is their focus as there had been prior reports of domestic violence at the apartment where the shooting occurred, according to Renton Police spokeswoman Terri Vickers.
