Bothell pair wanted in connection with assault, shooting

CAMANO ISLAND, Wash. -- Deputies in Island County are searching for a Bothell pair accused of brutally assaulting and shooting a Camano Island woman Thursday morning.

Naji Roshad Moore-Taylor and Megan Noelle Failing, both 21-years old, beat and shot the woman inside her own home at 8 a.m. Thursday morning, according to the Island County Sheriff's Office.

The victim is in stable condition at a local hospital and is expected to survive.

Deputies did not say what led up to the shooting, but did say the victim knew both suspects and the crime was not a random act.

Moore-Taylor and Failing were last seen leaving the area in a dark colored, smaller car, according to deputies. Both last lived in the Bothell area.

Moore-Taylor stands 6 feet tall and weighs 190 pounds, and Failing stands 5'6" tall and weighs 112 pounds. Deputies say both should be considered armed and dangerous.

Anyone with information is asked to call 911 or the Island County Sheriff's Office via the ICOM dispatch center at 1-360-679-9567.
