The accident happened during machine work at the 40-56 building, but the company would not say exactly how the employee was hurt or what type or work was being performed when the accident happened.
"We are deeply concerned any time one of our employees is injured," spokesman Tim Healy said in a written statement. "We take very seriously the safety and well being of our employees at all times, and will thoroughly investigate the circumstances surrounding this incident."
The employee's current condition is not known.
According to the Boeing website, the 40-56 building houses the company's Interiors Responsibility Center, which develops aircraft cabin interiors.
