Boeing employee airlifted after accident at Everett plant

EVERETT, Wash. -- A Boeing employee injured at the Everett plant was airlifted to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle on Wednesday evening.

The accident happened during machine work at the 40-56 building, but the company would not say exactly how the employee was hurt or what type or work was being performed when the accident happened.

"We are deeply concerned any time one of our employees is injured," spokesman Tim Healy said in a written statement. "We take very seriously the safety and well being of our employees at all times, and will thoroughly investigate the circumstances surrounding this incident."
