BELLINGHAM, Wash. - Bellingham police are currently investigating an attempted abduction involving a 10-year-old girl.

The victim says a driver approached her on the 2300 block of Utter Street Saturday afternoon. She says the man pointed to what looked like a gun from under his sweatshirt, and ordered her into his car.

The girl got away and reported the event to her parents.

She described the suspect as having a tan complexion, with scratches on his arms. He was driving a muddy, forest green, four-door vehicle with tinted windows.
