Amazon to open 3 new centers in Poland, hire 6,000 employees
SEATTLE - Amazon.com Inc. announced plans to open three new distribution centers in Poland and hire 6,000 permanent employees.
According to Bloomberg, the new centers will allow the Seattle-based e-commerce company to expand its European operations in the future.
Two of the centers are scheduled to open next August and the third is slated for mid-2015.
Amazon also said it would hire an additional 9,000 employees to man the centers during some of the busier times of the year.
