Alert neighbor leads to arrest of 4 suspected burglars
EDMONDS, Wash. -- The Edmonds Police Department was able to arrest four suspected burglars Tuesday night thanks to the help of an alert neighbor. However, one suspected burglar is still on the loose.
According to police, a neighbor called 911 around 7:55 p.m. when they saw two people go into a house in the 7900 block of 191st Street Southwest.
The two people drove off in a silver sedan before officers arrived, but police spotted the car nearby.
An officer stopped the car near 182nd Street Southwest and 88th Avenue West and arrested the four passengers inside. But, the car's driver ran off, according to police.
Despite a 2.5-hour search using a K9 team and helicopter, officers were unable to find the driver.
Three of the arrested suspects, ages 16 to 18, are from Bellevue. The fourth is a 19-year-old from Lynnwood.
