60-year-old woman robbed in South Seattle

SEATTLE - A 60-year-old woman sustained minor injuries Friday evening after being robbed in Rainier Valley.

Police say the woman had just left a Metro bus near 38th Ave S. and S. Cloverdale St. and was on her way to visit a friend when a man in dark clothing snatched her purse.

The robber knocked her to the ground and caused a small abrasion on the back of her head. She was treated by Seattle Fire crews and released at the scene.
