3 teens identified in Lynnwood soccer coach beating

LYNNWOOD, Wash. (AP) - A police spokeswoman in Lynnwood says three teenagers believed to have been involved in a Feb. 6 assault on a Seattle soccer coach outside Meadowdale High School have been identified and are cooperating with investigators.

Spokeswoman Shannon Sessions said Wednesday that the city prosecutor's office is reviewing the case.

The 53-year-old private league soccer coach was outside the school with his teenage daughter, waiting for other team members, when three boys walked by and insulted the man and his daughter.

Two of the three teens then attacked the coach before all three took off on foot. The man's daughter wasn't wasn't hurt, but the beating left the coach with cuts and bruises on his face.

The soccer team arrived moments later and called 911.,

Sessions said earlier that two of the three juveniles assaulted the man.
