3 injured in multiple-vehicle crash in Tacoma

TACOMA, Wash. - Three people were injured Thursday afternoon in a crash involving multiple vehicles in Tacoma, fire officials said.

Police and medics responded to the scene, at South 19th Street and South I Street, at about 1:30 p.m. after receiving a report of a serious accident.

Three people were found to be injured. All were taken to area hospitals.

In the aftermath of the crash, an SUV ended up on its side against a parked car. Two other vehicles were also involved. It was not immediately clear what circumstances led to the crash.

South 19th Street is currently closed between J Street and Yakima Street as police investigate the accident.
