2 suspected bank thieves arrested in Lacey

LACEY, Wash -- Two men suspected of robbing the Navy Federal Credit Union in Lacey Friday afternoon have been arrested.

Police say a man walked into the bank on Galaxy Drive around 5:20 p.m., implied to a teller he had a weapon and asked for money.

After getting some cash, the man jumped into a waiting car and sped off.

But police found the car less than 20 minutes later traveling on Mullen Road and pulled the car over. The two people inside were arrested and booked into the Thurston County Jail for investigation of 1st degree armed robbery.

Police identified the men as 55-year-old Johnathan Watson of Seattle and 54-year-old Earl Alexander of Yakima.
