2 men wounded in West Seattle shootings

SEATTLE -- Police are investigating whether two shootings in West Seattle are connected.

They happened within a half hour of each other before midnight Monday in the same general area.

The first shooting happened about 11:20 p.m. in the 2900 block of SW Charlestown Street. A 27-year-old man was shot multiple times and was taken to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle with life threatening injuries.

Officials said two people who may have been involved in the shooting were spotted running from the scene and remain at large.

About 25 minutes later, a 19-year-old man was shot in an arm, leg and torso in the 5600 block of Delridge Way SW. He was taken to Harborview in stable condition.

No suspect descriptions have been released in either shooting, but police asked anyone with information to call 911.
