SEATTLE - Two men were wounded early Tuesday in a shooting at a South Seattle park, but so far there are few leads on the suspects, police said.

Law enforcement personnel became aware of the shootings shortly before 1 a.m. when the two victims were dropped off at Harborview Medical Center, said Renee Witt of the Seattle police.

One man sustained a gunshot wound to the leg and the abdomen. The other victim sustained a gunshot wound to his arm. Both men were taken into surgery with non-life-threatening injuries, Witt said.

One victim's girlfriend told officers that they were parked at Kubota Gardens, in the 9800 block of 55th Avenue South, when another vehicle drove into the park. Two men got out of the the car and took the girlfriend's purse from her vehicle.

One of the suspects then shot both of the victims, who were seated in one car, the fired more shots before fleeing the park, the girlfriend said.

Officers responded to Kubota Gardens but did not locate any casings, vehicles or other evidence. The girlfriend refused to give a statement.
