2 men seriously injured in Tacoma drive-by shooting

TACOMA, Wash. - Two young men are in serious condition after a drive-by shooting Monday night in the Hilltop area of Tacoma, police said.

Officers responded to the scene, at South 19th Street and South Ainsworth Avenue in Tacoma, at about 8:30 p.m. Monday after receiving a report of a double shooting, said Tacoma police sp0keswoman Loretta Cool.

Two victims, both young men about 18 and 20 years old, were found at the scene.

One victim was shot in the neck; the other has a collapsed lung. Both were taken to St. Joseph Medical Center where they are listed in serious condition.

Both victims said it was a drive-by shooting. There were no other witnesses, and no suspects are in custody.

The names of the victims were not immediately available.
