2 men seriously hurt in Pioneer Square shootings

SEATTLE - Two men are in serious condition after they were shot several times while sitting in a parked car in Pioneer Square early Friday, officials said.

Officers responded to the scene, at Occidental Avenue South and South Washington Street, at about 2 a.m. after receiving a report of shots fired.

Both victims were found with multiple gunshot wounds. They were taken to Harborview Medical Center, where both were reported to be in serious condition.

Police searched the area but did not find a shooting suspect.

Two vehicles in the parking lot also were struck during the shooting.

The investigation continues. Anyone with information about the shootings is asked to contact Seattle police.
