Officers responded to the scene, at 14th Avenue South and South Walker Street, at about 5:25 a.m. after receiving a report of a man being stabbed multiple times.
As police were arriving in the area, a patrol officer spotted two people running from the scene in the shadows. One of them was a woman, who was found hiding underneath a car near 12th Avenue South and South Massachusetts Street. She was taken into custody
The second suspect, described as a black male, 5-feet-1-inches tall, weighing 145 pounds, with short black hair and wearing all black clothing, got away. He remains at large.
A preliminary investigation found that the two suspects and the male victim all know each other and may have lived together before.
The two suspects were sitting in a stolen Honda at 14th Avenue South and South Walker Street when they were approached by the victim, Kappel said.
The male suspect and victim got into an argument. The suspect pulled out a knife and stabbed the victim in the hand and torso, Kappel said. The two suspects then fled the scene on foot.
Medics responded to the scene and took the victim to Harborview Medical Center with non-life-threatening injuries.
The incident remains under investigation.
